Rapper Drake has made headlines after winning over £200,000 (around $254,000) from a massive bet on the T20 World Cup. The 37-year-old took to Instagram to share that he had placed a £510,000 (around $649,000) bet on India to beat Pakistan in their T20 World Cup Group A clash.
His prediction was accurate, as India secured a victory by six runs. This win netted him a total prize of £715,000 (around $910,920), resulting in a pure profit of £204,000 (around $260,000).

This successful bet adds to Drake’s impressive list of sports wagers. Notably, he had earlier placed a $250,000 bet on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to win the IPL 2024 Final against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). With odds of 1.8, Drake stood to win $450,000 if KKR emerged victorious. The wager marked Drake’s first foray into cricket betting.
Pakistan won the toss and put the men in blue to bat who only managed to set a target of 120 runs. In reply, the Pakistan team managed to amass only 113 runs, losing by 6 wickets.
